Ankara Oncology Hospital Phase-1 Cancer Drug Research Center was established.
Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital Chief Physician. Dr. Fevzi Altuntaş stated that  Phase-I Cancer Drug Research Center was established within the hospital.

He stated that the hospital has a wide infrastructure in cancer. Dr. Altuntaş gave the following information: A full-scale cancer research center was established with clinical pharmacy practices, center of clinical research, good clinical practice as well as the Phase-I drug research and development center. With this center, we will conduct clinical research in the field of cancer and we will achieve the production of medicines. We will have a new hope for the patients. Phase-I operation; represents the first clinical onset of a new drug. It is often the stage in which a drug or molecule is first tested in humans.

The opening of the new research center will be performed in 16 January 2019, Klinar will be attending to the opening of the Phase I Center as a participating CRO.

A meeting with the participation of ”Dokuz Eylül University Rectorate, Dokuz Eylül University Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, T.C. Ministry of Health, Turkey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency and Dokuz Eylul University National Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (TUCR), was  carried out by the Research and Application Center.

The purpose of the meeting was;

In accordance with the updated medical device legislation, participants will be informed about the developments in research and production processes in the field of medical devices. Information will be given about the changing legislation before and after the production. It is aimed to create an appropriate environment for the parties to accelerate the process of adaptation to the changing legislation.

The target audience of the meeting was;

The representatives of public, private sector, medical device manufacturers, universities, technopark companies and ethics committees are expected to participate in the meeting.

The parties interested in the clinical trials has attended the panel. Türkish Medicine and Medical Devices Association, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, AİFD, İEİS, KAD, SAKDER, Ethics committee representatives, researchers and other components attended the meeting in the morning while the morning training and questions were discussed in the panel.
